"Excellent Customer Service, Solid Pings and Latency, Very nice feeling talking to them"
First off let me say it is a breath of fresh air to call a company and have people that sound like they want to be there and want to help you! I mean you had me at hello lol
I called them on the 19th of June and the order was put in to covad. Bellsouth had to come out and I guess check somethings which they did 3 days earlier then what was planned, loved it.
So BS did their thing, then Covad scheduled to come out on the 28th of June. They were promptly ontime and the tech that did my order here was very nice and knowledgable. He was here did his thing and was gone within an hour with my connection running.
When he was here I was told that my upload could not reach 768, but that 512 looked solid and stable. I was cool with that so we went with that speed. He fully explained to me what was going on and why it had to be that way which helped me understand and which made me ok with it.
So after he leaves I ping just about every single website there is in the world and do traceroutes. Pings are stable on the speakeasy network, and range from 50 to 80 going to other websites all over the country. Pings to the states around Kentucky I get pings in the teens to low 20's.
Coming from Insight I had not seen a ping in the 20's since, well since never. Latency was also an issue which I hated, clicking on a webpage and having it take a long time to register it and go was frustraiting. With speakeasy that is all solved! I click on a link and it goes right now!
To say the least I hope you can tell so far I am extremely happy with Speakeasy and Covad (tech that came out) I think they both run a very tight ship and without a doubt take customer service seriously. As I said earlier, it was a breath of fresh air to talk to someone that you actually thought or knew, knew more then you!
Pre-Sales = 5 | Solid and very nice.
Install = 5 | Excellent in all areas. Very professional.
Connection = 5 | So far it is a 5 with excellent pings and latency around the US
Tech = 5 | The one time I called they were professional and patient.
Services = 5 | Speakeasy has a ton of services you can add and their service is outstanding so far
Value = 4 | Very expensive but I guess it goes back to, you get what you pay for. Would be nice to see it cheaper, but overall solid.
